![]() ✔️ P.S., This is new, up-to-date info, bb. Before that, though, here’s a preview of my faves: I also consulted big-shot makeup artists Brandy Allen, Sean Harris, and Britty Whitefield for their favorite contour sticks, and also got their tips for getting that soft, natural-looking sculpt. Which is what brought me to compile this list to help you find the best contour stick for your specific needs, whether you want a neutral undertone, a matte finish, or a drugstore option. And after testing dozens of different formulas and consistencies, I’ve realized that the best contour stick is all about control, blendability, and shade range. Now, in 2023, when I want to lift my cheekbones and ~chisel~ my jawline, I reach for a creamy, soft contour stick. If you’re in the market to update you current contour routine ( who isn’t~the pursuit of contour perfection!!) this pallet is a great and affordable place to start.Gone are the days of 2016 when I covered my skin in full-coverage foundation, bright-ass under-eye concealer, and matte setting powder-all before sculpting my cheekbones with a chalky contour kit. It is also on the affordable end of the makeup scale with this pallet costing just £18. NYX is a great makeup range with a super extensive range of colours to suite most skin tones. Well, you know the rules, a lady mustn’t appear easy! I picked my Pro Pallet up in Selfridges last month and have only just gotten around to falling in love with it. My highlight of choice is the HCPS04 Nectar. I like to layer contour so that the deeper colour creates recession and the slightly warmer colour creates slight warmth and depth. I am completely happy with the colours of this palette and layer HCPS05 Tan and HCPS06 Toffee to create my perfect contour. The search for the Holy Grail of contour is over people. It’s a really delicate balance of brown to add depth and recession but enough grey or beige tone to keep it “muddy” enough to not become a bronzer. It’s totally buildable so you can go for subtle to full glam, the choice is yours.įinding a good colour to contour is an ongoing endeavour for all us makeup geeks. Not too much glitter but enough sheen to highlight those cheekbones and land planes if you so desired. ![]() ![]() The highlights range from the delicate pink of HCPS01 Ice queen~ I’d liken this tone to the Benefit High Beam to a mid tone HCP02 Soft Light~ this is quite a good all rounder and I’d expect it would suit most skin tones, through to a more honey toned ( and my personal favourite) HCPS04 Nectar highlight ~ think Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop and you’re there! This highlight is delicious. It also offers a yellow toned setting powder ( think Ben Nye and you’ve pretty much hit the colour nail on the head) and 3 highlight options. ![]() The NYX highlight and contour pro palette offers 5 different contour shades in varying depths of colour, one is sure to suite you. We’ve only been going steady for a few weeks, so far I’m pretty smitten, but I haven’t yet had the courage to get rid of all the others. The perfect contour! I think I have found mine in the my new NYX Highlight and Contour pro palette. No one really knows what it is, but boy do we love it when we find it. Step aside Christian Grey! What women really want is the best possible contour colour, that perfect shade of grey /brown/beige or greige as I like to call it. ![]()
